Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This privacy policy describes how Macr, operated by Apex AI Labs, ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our dating mobile application available on the Apple App Store.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password so we can authenticate you on subsequent sign-ins.
- Content you create. Any data you save in the App (notes, entries, preferences, uploaded media, etc.) is stored so we can show it back to you across devices.
- Device and diagnostic data. We collect crash reports, error logs, and basic device information (OS version, device model, app version) to diagnose and fix bugs.
- Usage analytics. We record aggregate, non-identifying usage events (screens visited, feature used) so we can improve the product.
- Push notification tokens. If you opt in to push notifications we store the token your device provides so we can deliver those notifications.
- Purchase receipts. If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, we receive the transaction receipt from Apple to validate your purchase and unlock the corresponding entitlement.
We do not collect location data, contacts, the microphone, the camera, or health data unless you explicitly grant the App permission for a feature that requires it. The permissions the App requests are declared in its Apple App Store listing.
3. How we use your information
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To provide the features you request and store your content.
- To send service-related communications (e.g. password reset, verification emails).
- To process in-app purchases and restore them across devices.
- To diagnose crashes and improve product reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models.
4. Data we share
We share personal data only with service providers who act on our behalf:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Nova8 (the platform this App is built on) hosts the backend servers, databases, and object storage used by the App.
- Crash reporting: A crash reporting provider receives stack traces and device metadata when the App crashes.
- Push delivery: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) receives the notification payloads we send to your device.
- Payments: Apple processes any in-app purchases or subscriptions. We never see your payment method.
We will also disclose personal data when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the App, our users, or the public.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 7) we delete your account record, your content, and your authentication session within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep certain records longer (for example, payment transaction records for tax purposes).
6. Data security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. All data is transferred between your device and our servers over TLS. Object storage is access-controlled and encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete your account and the data associated with it, using the "Delete Account" option inside the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
- Export a copy of your data in a portable format on request.
- Object to certain uses of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International data transfer
Our servers operate in the United States and the App is offered from United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, we will notify you inside the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
