Do I need to know how to code?
No. Nova8 is designed for people who do not write Swift. The agent handles the code; you describe what you want. That said, knowing a little programming helps when reading what the agent produced or when you want to push to GitHub and edit directly.
Do I need a Mac?
No. Everything compiles in the cloud. You sign up, build, preview, and ship from any computer with a browser. The only Apple-side requirement is an Apple Developer account ($99/year), which you set up in a browser too.
Are the apps real native iOS apps?
Yes. Real Swift, real SwiftUI, real UIKit, compiled with the same Xcode toolchain Apple ships. Not a webview, not a hybrid framework, not a wrapped React Native bundle.
Who owns the code?
You do. Every line. On Pro and Studio plans you can push the project to your own GitHub repo at any time and take it elsewhere if you ever leave Nova8.
Can I edit the code myself?
Yes. Push to GitHub, edit locally in Xcode or any editor, and Nova8 picks up your edits on the next agent turn. Or you can stay entirely inside Nova8 and never touch the code.
How long does it take to ship to TestFlight?
For most users, 30–60 minutes from first prompt. The longest single step is Apple Developer enrollment (1–3 days for individuals, longer for businesses with D-U-N-S verification).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in Billing → Subscription. Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period, then drops to Free. Your projects remain in your account.
What happens to my projects if I downgrade or cancel?
They stay readable on Free. Some features (TestFlight delivery, custom domains, GitHub push, Opus model access) require an active paid plan, so those become unavailable but your code is yours forever.
Can multiple people work on the same project?
Team seats are on the Studio plan. Submit an inquiry from the pricing page or email [email protected] for setup.
What models does Nova8 use?
Anthropic Claude. Sonnet by default (fast, excellent Swift), Opus on paid plans for harder problems.
Is my data private?
Project content is stored in your Nova8 workspace and is not shared with other users or used to train models. Secrets you paste are encrypted at rest with Google Cloud KMS envelope encryption. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Can I use Nova8 to build Android apps?
iOS-only today. Android is on the roadmap.
What if Apple rejects my submission?
Apple sends a reject reason; the most common reasons (missing privacy policy URL, missing review screenshot for paywall, ATT mismatches) are pre-screened by Nova8’s submission audit. For genuine rejections, the agent can adjust copy or behavior on a follow-up prompt and resubmit.
